Behind The Art: A Collaborative Short Documentary on Creative Practice

This collaborative short documentary explores the creative joruneys of three different subjects - a musician, a visual artist and a collective of independent filmmakers. The film offers an intimate look into their individual artistic processes, blending interviews with behind-the-scenes footage to showcase how ideas evolve from concept to execution.

The direction, production and distribution was split evenly between the three members of this collaboration, and as part of the creative team, I contributed to the visual identity of the documentary, including shot planning, artistic direction and promotional assets.

The film aims to highlight the parallels and differences between disciplines, drawing attention to the shared struggles, inspirations, and moments of breakthrough that define the artistic process. By weaving together personal narratives and studio footage, Behind The Art becomes both a celebration of making and a reflection on what it means to be a working creative today.
