Risograph Zine Showcasing University Spaces

Project Type

Zine Making

Date

May 2025

Location

University of Lincoln

Designed, illustrated, and printed independently, the zine served both as a promotional piece and a celebration of the often-overlooked studios, workshops, and communal spaces that support student creativity. The visual language was inspired by the tactile and textural qualities of the risograph printing process. I embraced its vibrant color limitations and characteristic imperfections to create bold compositions that reflect the energy and experimentation happening within the building.

Each spread featured typographic and illustrated elements highlighting individual departments with a dominant focus on the technicians and their stories and skills. The zine aimed to encourage present and future students to explore facilities they may not have even known existed, fostering a sense of curiosity and collaboration. The zine was printed in limited copies using a four-colour risograph process, allowing for hands-on involvement with production.
